Apply to fewer, better-matched roles
Pick roles where you already meet roughly 60-70% of the listed requirements. Below that, your CV rarely survives the first screen. Above 90%, the role is often already filled internally.
Apply early

Mirror the language of the ad
Recruiters skim for the words they wrote. If the ad says "stakeholder reporting" and your CV says "management updates", say both.
